We’ve engaged with a collection of artists and makers to bring you a range of art workshops - something for everyone.

* Per person, per session. Children under 16 need to be accompanied by a paying adult.

CHARCOAL MAKING.

Saturday 21st June (1pm - 3pm)
(for adults & children)

Enjoy learning the woodland craft of charcoal making on the camp fire, leading into an exploratory drawing session, using charcoal sticks to make sketches of the surrounding landscapes.

CLAY BIRDS.

Saturday 19th July (1pm - 3pm)
(for adults & children)

Sculpt a clay bird using air-drying clay & clay-modelling techniques. Delicately decorate your bird with petals, leaves & other natural materials gathered from the site. Take your lovely hand-made botanical bird home to enjoy & watch its petal feathers fade beautifully over time. 

FORAGE, SMASH, CREATE.

Saturday 26th July (1pm - 3pm)

Unleash your inner alchemist and stir up creativity through ink-making! In this immersive workshop you'll delve into the fascinating world of inks and craft your own vibrant concoctions from scratch using natural, foraged ingredients to make a set of drawings and paintings with.

CLAY SCULPTING.

Saturday 30th August (10am - 12pm)
(for adults & children)

Exploring the woodland ecology through an artist’s eyes. Working observationally, or imaginatively, enjoy field study style sketch  painting using natural clay as a paint pigment. Develop the work into 3D palm sized sculptures to be sited in the woodland or to take home.

WILD WEAVING.

Saturday 6th September (10am - 12pm)

Explore the wild & wooded grounds, foraging for stick looms & natural materials for your weaves. Use colourful wools, interweaving these with your chosen plants; to create a beautiful textured weave to decorate your home.
